The event, organized by the Las Vegas Jazz Society, is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The festival marks the 50th anniversary of the Las Vegas Jazz Society, founded in 1975 by jazz bassist Monk Montgomery and a group of musicians and enthusiasts, including the society\u2019s current president, Judy Tarte.
